Glycolic acid works by dissolving the bonds that hold dead skin cells to the surface, triggering exfoliation and revealing fresher, smoother skin underneath. Over multiple sessions, peels stimulate collagen production and visibly improve skin tone and texture.

What to expect

Your face is thoroughly cleansed before application.

Peel solution is brushed onto the target area. A mild tingling sensation lasts 3–5 minutes.

Neutralize
A neutralizing solution is applied, followed by a soothing facial mask.

The entire treatment takes under 10 minutes. You leave with minimal redness.

Recovery & aftercare

After your peel, you may notice minimal redness that typically subsides within a few hours. Over the following days, you may experience mild dryness or light flaking as the old skin sheds. This is normal and expected — do not pick or peel the skin.

Sun protection is essential after a chemical peel. Avoid direct sun exposure and use SPF 30+ sunscreen daily during your recovery. Makeup can usually be applied the next day.

Common questions

How many treatments do I need?
Most patients see noticeable improvement after their first peel, but a series of 4–6 treatments spaced 2–4 weeks apart produces the best results for acne and scarring.
Is it painful?
You'll feel a mild tingling or warm sensation during application that lasts about 3–5 minutes. It's not painful. Most patients tolerate it very well.
Can I get a peel if I have dark skin?
Yes. We select the appropriate peel strength based on your Fitzpatrick skin type. Lighter concentrations are used for sensitive or darker skin tones to minimize risk of hyperpigmentation. For deeper treatment on all skin types, ask about the Perfect Peel.
