Guam's experienced aviation medical examiner

Dr. Jitka Lom has served as a Senior FAA Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) since 1999 — one of the most experienced AMEs on Guam. She is authorized to perform Class 1, 2, and 3 medical certificate examinations for pilots, student pilots, and air traffic controllers.

The exam fee is $150. An optional EKG is available for an additional $50. Most exams are completed in a single visit.

Required step

All applicants must complete FAA Form 8500-8 through the FAA MedXPress system before scheduling your exam. Your AME cannot access your application without your MedXPress confirmation number — bring it to your appointment.

What the exam includes

The FAA aviation medical exam covers a range of physical and sensory evaluations required by the FAA for certification. The specific tests depend on the class of certificate you are applying for.

Important notes

Your MedXPress application must be submitted before your appointment — the AME cannot process your exam without your confirmation number.
Applications submitted through MedXPress are active for 30 days and must be examined within 60 days of submission, or the application is deleted.
MedXPress passwords require 8–12 characters with a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters.
