Your own body's power to heal

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy — sometimes called the Vampire Facial — harnesses the regenerative power of your own blood. A small sample is drawn, then spun in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelets. This platelet-rich plasma is reinjected beneath the skin, where the growth factors trigger cellular repair, collagen production, and tissue tightening.

Because PRP is derived entirely from your own body, there are no foreign substances and no risk of allergic reaction. The results build gradually over weeks and can be long-lasting — in some cases, permanent once the tissue has remodeled.

PRP is available at our Agana location at $499/syringe.

What to expect

During
~1 hour with numbing
Topical numbing is applied before injections. The session takes approximately one hour.
Days 1–7
Initial recovery
Redness, swelling, and minor bruising are normal and typically subside within 4–7 days.
Weeks 4–12
Results build
As platelets stimulate new collagen and cell growth, skin gradually tightens and brightens.

Treatment schedule

For initial treatment, monthly sessions for 3–4 months produce the best results as tissue remodels and regenerates. Once tissue has responded, maintenance sessions every 6–12 months sustain and extend the benefits. In many patients, results from a completed initial course can be permanent.

Who should not get PRP

PRP is safe for most patients, but is not appropriate for everyone. Please inform Dr. Lom if any of the following apply to you:

Current smoker (tar inhibits growth factor effectiveness)
Clotting or platelet disorders
Active infection at the treatment site
Severe systemic disease
Metastatic cancer
Severe liver disease
Currently taking anticoagulants or antiplatelet medications

Common questions

Is PRP the same as a Vampire Facial?
Yes — 'Vampire Facial' is the popular name for PRP facial rejuvenation. The name refers to the use of your own blood as the source material, not to any alarming procedure.
How long until I see results?
Some patients notice initial improvement within a few weeks. Full results develop over 2–3 months as new collagen forms. Patience is key — PRP works with your body's natural processes.
Can PRP help with hair loss?
Yes. PRP injected into the scalp stimulates dormant hair follicles and can improve hair density in areas affected by thinning or early hair loss. This is a separate protocol from facial PRP.
Where is PRP available?
PRP treatments are offered at our Agana Shopping Center location. Call (671) 477-2873 to schedule a consultation.
